17 A - Elevator Pitch No.2

Today, there are currently 109 people dying a day in this country because of gun violence. With these numbers rising each year, there needs to be something done.  I plan to create an organization whose job is to support and finance anti-gun violence activists. The people involved in these organizations are fighting for change in the second amendment. Gun laws are needed to protect the citizens of the US. These laws will enforce stricter background checks and take assault rifles off the market, and out of people’s homes. If enough groups protesting gun violence rally together, they can overpower the NRA.

18A - Create a Customer Avatar

This is my ideal customer, she is 22 years old and she is a senior in college. College has taught her many things and helped her create friendships that will last forever. She is involved in greek life and she started her own gun violence protest club at her school. Euphoria is her favorite show, she appreciates the passion each character has. She does not have children but hopes for children in the future, which is one of her motivations for fighting for gun safety. Her favorite book is Harry Potter, because who doesn't love Harry Potter? Joe Biden's stance on gun violence in the upcoming election is one she thinks could be strong. He is trying to win over both Democrats and Republicans views by enacting a compromise gun laws opinion that still protects citizens. She is passionate about her group she wants help form, protesting for laws to protect citizens! We have very similar interests and views.

16A - What's Your Secret Sauce?

Describe five ways in which you think you have human capital that is truly unique.

1. I think that I am a very happy and bubbly person

2. I am a hard worker

3. I am a honest person who always tells the truth

4. I want to make everyone around me happy and make them laugh

Interview five people you know the best

1. The first person I interviewed was my friend and roommate Nicole. She described me as a good friend who puts others before themselves. 

2. For this interview I spoke to my friend Lexi. She said that I am a very happy person who makes everyone else happy. Hearing her say this was very humbling because I do not like seeing people upset or sad and try my best to make others around me in a good mood. 

3. This interview was done by my sister DaCee. She described me as a cheerful person and said that whenever I walk into a room I make others smile. She also said that I always care about others more than myself.

4. For this interview I talked to my friend since middle school Olivia. While talking to her I realized she had the most to say about me. She spoke about my ability to help others, she said that sometimes I might not even realize but I am always trying to make other people happy. She also said that I have always been a bubbly and happy person since she has known me. 

5. The final interview was done by my best friend Grace. Grace talked about how I try my best at everything I do and I always push myself to do my best. 

Reflect on the differences
After interviewing these five people I feel very happy that other people who are close to me see me in the same way as I see my self. I enjoyed doing this assignment because it made me feel good about myself and realize that other people view me in a way that I proud to be seen as. 

15A - Figuring Out Buyer Behavior No. 2

For my interviews, I talked to three students who were all sophomores at the University of Florida. The first person I spoke to was a female who knew almost nothing about gun safety, but she wants to learn more. The second student was a male who would do anything to make schools more safe and clear of guns. The last interview was with a female who has a lot of knowledge about gun safety and she is an advocate for stronger gun laws. Each one of these students has different amounts of knowledge and views in sun safety but all of them want their voices and beliefs about gun safety to be heard and be able to make a change. I then asked each person about how and why they usually purchase things. All three of these students said that they buy the majority of their things online because it is easier to find exactly what they are looking for. Both of the females that I spoke to said that they chose to buy better brands of everything because they like having good quality items. I male student said that he does not usually care about brands and buys whatever he needs. The two females I talk to think about the brand and quality of the item when thinking if they should buy something or not and the male usually does not care too much about the band and will buy something if he feel he needs it. Overall, the two females that I interviewed had the same view on why and how they purchase something and the male had a different view. When purchasing something I think that it is important to know about the item and decide if I would actually use what I am buying.

14A - Halfway reflection

1)    Tenaciousness is a competency. What are the behaviors that you have used (or developed) to keep up with the requirements of this course?

I taught myself to check Canvas at least once a day and to always work ahead so that I am never behind with my school work.

2)    Tenaciousness is also about attitude. Talk about a moment or two when you felt like "giving up." What pulled you through? Do you feel like you've developed a tenacious attitude during the past two months? What experience or experiences most contributed to this?

There was one week when I accidentally turned in the wrong URL and I ended up  getting no credit for the assignment. I didn’t give up because I knew that I had so many more assignments that I had left to do and could make sure I did my very best on it.

3)    Three tips. What are three tips you would offer next semester's student about (1) fostering the skills that support tenacity and (2) developing the 'tenacious mindset'
